Sensei Jim Likens is a truly gifted teacher. We have had the privilege of him instructing our boys for over seven years. He was in Noblesville for several years and then moved his class to Indianapolis. We have been willing to drive downtown Indianapolis every Saturday just to have the opportunity for our children to have him be their instructor instead of continuing with someone else. What’s more the boys didn’t mind the drive downtown because they got to do Karate with Sensei Likens. He has been worth every minute of every drive. Being an educator and mother, I know that anyone can go to school and learn the skills to teach a subject. However, it takes a special person to actually get the information into the minds of children and adults. What he has done for our children is immeasurable. I have seen how the confidence and dedication of learning Karate with Sensei Likens has carried over into other areas of their lives such as schoolwork and team sports. He gives every student his time, attention, and unconditional support as they learn from him. His dynamic personality is magnetic to be around. You feel like a better person just knowing him. He loves teaching Karate to children and adults. I appreciate the gift of teaching that Sensei Jim Likens possesses and I am thrilled he is bringing his gift back to our Noblesville Community! You will love his class for either yourself or your child.
